Intro

Why do the nations rage?

Heaven is not afraid

Verse

They gather under gilded lights

Trade living truth for borrowed rights

They call Your boundaries chains to break

Then crown the cages that they make

But You are not alarmed above

No vote can move the throne of love

Before the flags, before the plans

You set Your King on Zion’s land

Pre-Chorus

Let every restless empire know

The throne was never left alone

The louder all the kingdoms grow

The clearer still Your word will go

Chorus

Noise is not a throne

Crowds cannot make truth their own

Heaven has already spoken

Your Anointed reigns alone

Every crown is only borrowed

Every age will come and go

Noise is not a throne

Jesus, You will reign alone

Verse

You call the rulers, “Now be wise”

Let holy warning clear their eyes

Serve with a trembling kind of joy

No human crown can void Your voice

The iron answers brittle pride

Clay-built kingdoms cannot hide

But blessed are the ones who run

And place their refuge in the Son

Pre-Chorus

Let every restless empire know

The throne was never left alone

The louder all the kingdoms grow

The clearer still Your word will go

Chorus

Noise is not a throne

Crowds cannot make truth their own

Heaven has already spoken

Your Anointed reigns alone

Every crown is only borrowed

Every age will come and go

Noise is not a throne

Jesus, You will reign alone

Bridge

Not every knee bends from defeat

Some bow because their hearts can see

The King is mercy, majesty

The safest place is at His feet

Final Chorus

Noise is not a throne

Crowds cannot make truth their own

Heaven has already spoken

Your Anointed reigns alone

Every crown is only borrowed

Every age will come and go

Noise is not a throne

Jesus, You will reign alone

Outro

Let every raging voice grow low

The throne was never yours to hold
